Oodles of
Moodles
Sixty-seven teachers from all corners of Indiana
gathered in Indianapolis during the months of July and
August to attend one of four week-long camps.
Participants learned how to create and manage virtual

Can You Hear (and See!) Me
Now? An exciting technology that has
recently proven to be a valuable tool in the classroom
is the podcast. The word "podcast" is derived from
combining the words "iPod" and "broadcast", and
originally was defined as audio files that were
subscribed to on the Internet, usually at no cost.
However, podcasts can now include audio and video
formats, and can be downloaded to iPod and MP3 products,
as well as any computer hard-drive. So, podcasts are
extremely versatile and easy to use. More... |

New Funding Resource for
Teachers A relatively new on-line
resource available for public school teachers to access
funding for classroom projects can be found at DonorsChoose.org.
As of October 2, 2007,
$482,166 has been dispersed by this not-for profit group
to Indiana teachers impacting the education of 33,138
students. This is how it works: teachers submit project
descriptions along with related expenses. The proposals
are evaluated and posted on the not-for-profit web site
where interested individuals can choose a specific
program to fund. Detailed information is provided on
this easy to navigate site.
