Tech Word:
Mashup

The technology term, mashup, has at least two meanings. One describes media that is combined to create something new such as video clips from several sources edited together to create a new piece, or music from one genre remixed into another genre's form, e.g. classic to hard rock. A website mashup integrates different web services under a single interface, such as using Google Maps combined with databases or RSS feeds to graphically display crime or other statistics.
