Create with Pixie2™

Pixie2 is a creative tool for all grade levels, but it includes many features younger minds will find easy to use. Once a tool such as a paint brush is selected, choices are provided for color, size, and options such as mirroring. Unique graphics can be re-sized, and changes in color options or photos can be added via DV cameras, web cams or doc cameras. Shape tools add a large variety of ways to add emphasis and conversation bubbles. Text can be included and recorded as part of the sharing or for self-recording information for an electronic portfolio. Students’ creations are easily shared with others with simple step-by-step conversion to slide show presentations, web pages, flash or podcasts. Also, they can be printed in student-friendly formats such as storybooks, comic strips or greeting cards. Tech4Learning provides over 500 already created activities organized by curriculum topics including lessons for groups using interactive whiteboards. Ease of use and connection to current technology make Pixie2 a useful tool in the classroom.
